FEATURED // Sea of Bees NYC

“Don’t be pushed by your problems, be led by your dreams.” – Bo Mulder

FEATURED // Sea of Bees NYC Dutch beauty, blogger and brain, Bo, recently made the move to the city to follow her heart and pursue her passion. After graduating from Law School, she decided to take a on different path in her career choice hence why Sea of Bees came about. She explains that, “New York opened up my mind and I stopped doing things that were expected of me and started doing what I expected of myself.  Doing what you love is so important, and I guess I want to inspire people with that thought.” It’s on her blog that you’ll find an adventure of things that she’s discovered in the city in her most polished outfits.

We had the pleasure to meet and greet her to share our stories in NYC. Check out Refind Denim’s exclusive feature on her blog (there’s a little surprise for you) and read more for the 411.

THE 411

My personal style icon is…Diane von Furstenberg. She is such a strong, down to earth and inspiring woman. Her lifestyle and fashion has this “easy chic” thing I absolutely love. Can not wait for her book coming out this October

Sexy without trying is…Be happy and smile with your eyes.

My fail-safe statement piece is…LBD. Always the best choice when in doubt.

The game-changing investment piece is…Saint Laurent mini bag. Still investing…

My favorite SS15 collection is…Botega Veneta.

My guilty pleasure…The Kardashians  and yes I’m kind of ashamed of it, but I just love these girls.

I start my day…with a glass of whole milk…or maybe two

When I’m sad… ”just a cloud away” by Pharrel Williams on repeat is my remedy :)

What most people don’t know is…I have this geeky bird watching habit. I left my grand-grandfathers binoculars in Holland,  but I loved to bike through the forest and watch birds. Haha….

The Throne

THE THRONE

Throne started with a simple idea, to give new life to old watches by pairing them with beautiful handmade leather straps. After nearly two years building a business based around sourcing reclaimed watches and handmade straps, they’ve decided that it’s time to design their very own watch.

We had the pleasure of being a part of their new watch campaign with photographer, Roman Yee. Congrats to our friends at Throne Watches for launching Throne 1.0!

details

CREEM: How is your brand different from other labels that center around vintage jeans?

REFIND DENIM: We love working with vintage denim because of its lived-in comfort and we modernize it by redesigning each pair. Our boyfriend jeans, boyfriend shorts and cutoffs never lack in comfort or style.

We’re excited to announce that you can now shop our products on CREEM Magazine’s E-shop! You can also check out our featured interview with CREEM Mag here.

CREEM Magazine, based in NYC, brings a distinct look on art, fashion, and music. Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting their Editor-in-Chief, Katerina Simonova, at “The Absorbed Tradition” art show where we learned that the publication maintains it’s distinguished view of the industry by regularly featuring emerging talent through photography, writing, interviews and editorials.

A little recap of Greg Mania’s interview with us:
